Nothing Better Today—Meme Time

I just saw this over at Laura's. She says it has been all over, but I've been busy and hadn't seen it before. It's a little TMI for some, so I've put it in the extended entry.

I’m Blue da ba dee da ba daa

you are steelblue
#4682B4

Your dominant hues are cyan and blue. You like people and enjoy making friends. You're conservative and like to make sure things make sense before you step into them, especially in relationships. You are curious but respected for your opinions by people who you sometimes wouldn't even suspect.

Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it.

Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up.

Hmmm, not so sure about that liking people part, but the rest of it sounds about right.

Friday Five

April 11th Friday Five

1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
It was Barry Manilow "in the round" at the old McNichols Sports Arena in Denver. I think I was 16 or 17. I remember I drove to it because my Ford Pinto stationwagon got a flat in the parking lot.

2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?
I don't really have a favorite at the moment.

3. What's your favorite song?
Queens of the Stone Age's "No One Knows"--although even after reading the lyrics on their site, I still don't get what it's about.

4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
Piano. I took keyboarding classes in college, so I could play chords and pick out melodies and such, but I really can't play it. I also want to play guitar. After I get out of school, I will probably pursue that goal with earnest, since a guitar is waaaaay cheaper than a piano.

5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
This may be weird, but I'd love to meet Mozart. I would just like see what he was like in person.

Friday Five

April 4th Friday Five
1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
I've lived in 17 different places. Actually 16, but our current home has been in two different places. A lot of those were various dorms and houses I lived in during college.

2. Which was your favorite and why?
So far my house now is my favorite. It's the first place I've truly felt at home since I moved out of my parents' house. It's pretty snazzy for a mobile home. I've even got a jacuzzi tub in my master bath.

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
Stressful. I hate not being able to find my stuff and packing is a pain in the butt.

4. What's more important, location or price?
I wish I could say location, but price is always the major factor that determined where we have lived.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
I want a house with a walk-out basement and a huge yard (acreage) where I can garden. I also want a hot tub and/or pool. I also want a gas fireplace in the master bedroom and french doors that lead out to a balcony.
