I'm just three short months away from going to Las Vegas, baby! I can't wait. I'm already making a list of things I need to get: laptop battery, new camera, better iPod earphones, etc. I'm going to have a blast!

I heard the most disturbing thing on the television today while eating breakfast at the Flying J restaurant this morning. Viagra is using Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas" song in their television ads. I was seriously wondering what The King would think about his music being used in such a way. I think it was tactless and totally inappropriate.

In an effort to get the cash together for my Vegas trip, I've started doing freelance design again. I'll have my site up by the end of the week, but in the mean time, if anybody reading this needs any graphic design services (print or web), I'm available. While at dinner last night, Nina and I were talking about the real possibility of taking a group vacation to Orlando, FL in 2010 to check out the new Harry Potter theme park I wrote about the other day. Before we go, I'll be checking out a site called OrlandoFunTickets.com to make sure I find the best prices for tickets to the various theme parks, attractions and shows in the Orlando area.

While there we will definitely go to the Magic Kingdom and there are all sorts of discount Disney Tickets available through the site. I'm not sure yet if I want to take in the other Disney attractions such as the water parks, Epcot or the Animal Kingdom park, but if we do decide to visit them, there are "Disney Magic Your Way" ticket package variations that allow access to multiple parks. You can also get tickets to places such as Medieval Times, Universal Orlando, Islands of Adventure, the Kennedy Space Center, Sea World and even shows that are currently running in the area.

It will be much easier to get discount tickets to those things in advance from the comfort of home rather than trying to waste precious vacation time procuring tickets and spending more money once we are there. I'll definitely be getting tickets through OrlandoFunTickets.com for my Orlando vacation. If you're gong to be vacationing in Orlando, make sure you check there first, too.

A few years ago, I really started to become a Mary Engelbreit fan. She does such wonderful, colorful illustrations. I found out that she had a retail store and vowed that one day I would visit it. Well, for some reason, I had it in my head that it was was up North somewhere. Well, I was looking at her site yesterday trying to get inspiration for a project I'm working on and I found out her store is in the Galleria Mall in St. Louis, MO. The very same mall Marcus and I went to the Apple Store in when we spent a few days in St. Louis three years ago. D'oh! We even strolled around the mall for a bit, but didn't make it to the section that had the ME store. Argh! So close. Marcus promised that on the next trip to Tennessee to visit his folks, we can stay in St. Louis again so that I can go to that store.

I finally got around to uploading all the vacation pictures in the Tennessee Vacation 2004 Photo Album. I don't know if they're interesting to anybody but me, but hey, check them out if you want to. Captions will come later as I get time.
