I’m Back

Current mood: bearmood — sad disappointed
Well, I went to Las Vegas. Other than the 10 actual minutes of the wedding ceremony, the weekend was pretty much a waste of time and money. I didn't have money to gamble, I didn't get to go to the Star Trek thing I wanted to see, I didn't get to ride in the cool Luxor elevators, I didn't even get to swim in the hotel pool. I did spend more than 28 hours riding in a car through wastelands such as Utah. *sigh* I guess I should've stayed home and just sent a card.

I Made It

Hey, everyone! I'm making this entry from the Apple store in Las Vegas. The wedding is in a couple of hours, so we're killing time right now. We have to pay for outgoing calls at the hotel, so I can't post from there. Talk to everyone later!!

I Want to Stay In Bed

Current mood: bearmood — sad crappy
I don't feel well today. I asked Marcus to turn the furnace on this morning because I'm absolutely freezing. I would've just stayed in bed to keep warm, but I'm having the worst cramps today. Yippee. Marcus, Mike, Nina and I are going to Las Vegas this weekend to attend Mike's sister's wedding. I've got so much to do before we leave, but I can't leave my house. FedEx tried to deliver my printer twice yesterday, but the first time I was at school and the second I was at work and Marcus wasn't home yet. Argh! I don't even dare get into the shower yet.

I just heard on WB2 news that Cub Foods will be closing all of it's Colorado stores on November 15th. Damn it, that is where I prefer to shop. This so totally sucks!

I would hate to be that guy at the Cubs playoff game yesterday that interferred with the player catching the foul ball. If the Cubs had won, they would've gone on to the World Series. Now they have to go to game 7 tonight. I hope for that poor guy's sake that the Cubs win.

A Wise Man Once Said…

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Sleep, Wherefor Art Thou

Current mood: bearmood — awake awake
Well, no big shocker here after the last post, but I'm thinking the insomnia thing is a result of my financial crisis. Sure, my conscious mind believed that I wasn't doing too bad, but my subconsious knew. Guess that's why at 4 am I'm wide awake again. The stress has also caused a whole bunch of canker sores to break out in my gums. Ouch!

I wish I had no self-respect and could start a site like Save Karyn. I'm in no mood to deal with the backlash that comes with online begging, though. Can you believe that chick wrote a book about the whole thing?
