I'm really tired right now. I'm thinking of going to take a nap. See, even though I stayed up well past 1 am this morning, my internal clock had me out of bed at 6:20. What sucked major monkey butt about that is I thought I was late for work and that my alarm hadn't gone off like earlier this week. 6:20 is when I need to be hitting the road. After rushing into the bathroom, it dawned on me that it was Saturday. D'oh! So, all that adrenaline had me wide awake. *sigh*
I twisted both my ankles when I stepped off a ladder wrong at work. I can't remember if it was late last week or early this week. All I know is, they are both super puffy and hurt like a mother. I can never remember if you're supposed to ice swelling or put heat on it. Google tells me ice, so I've got ice packs strapped to my ankles. I feel stupid, but if it helps get the swelling and pain down, I'll deal. I think I'll fill up a pan with ice water later and soak in it.
Hey, I got off my butt and joined Facebook a few days ago. Here's a link to my
Facebook Profile if you want to be my friend.
Marcus is super cool. He bought me a license for that Delicious Library program I wrote about a bit ago. Even though he claims it is not the case, I think he really wanted to play with it and got tired of waiting for me to get it. Getting my books into it is going to be a long process. Most of mine are so old that scanning them doesn't bring up anything in Amazon's database. I'm having to type in the ISBN number and that usually brings up something close. Then being anal and perfectionist like I am, I'm searching Amazon and Google images for the same cover. So far I've got a couple that I'm either going to have to deal with the cover being different, or I'll have to scan my own book cover. We'll see.
OK, I'm off to work on Wordpress stuff and figure out how to make a better looking twitter badge. I hate that one you get from their site. Seriously, you only display 140 characters or something, so why is the box that freaking huge? I can't even change the text size. Lame!

I know I promised everybody a link to the craft blog on Sunday, but I ran into a few snags with the template I downloaded. First of all, I'm a little frustrated by coding hacks that don't know how to nest elements properly. Second, this whole WP way of doing things is throwing me a little. I'm used to having my whole index in one template and this modular thing is a little annoying. As soon as I've got it all figured out, then you guys will get a link. Sorry for the delay.

Laura has the greatest advice and tips about organizing. I was just over at
Organizing Junkie and saw the most cool of gadgets. Marcus and I definitely need one of these:
She found it over at
Organize-It and it's called the
Power Station Recharging Center. It's a little unit where you can charge all you electronic devices in one spot and contain the cord mess that usually goes along with it. This would give us one central place to charge all of our phones and stuff instead of having them at various plugs all over the house! It's reasonably priced, too. I think I'll choose the black one, though, when I get one. It's way more techy looking.
Why can't I ever think of something practical like this?

I'm feeling so blessed for how good my life is right now.
It feels really good to have two good, happy days in a row for the weekend. I let myself stay up late last night, sleep in today, have a nice lunch out with Marcus, took an afternoon nap after grocery shopping, made a nice dinner and relaxed for the evening surfing the Internet.
I didn't stress about housework, money, where I live. I just let myself enjoy the day.

*sigh* I would've been at the Police concert right now if I had won tickets. *sigh* My friend
Russ went and had a good time last night.
I am not looking forward to work this week. My supervisor is on vacation and those who will be covering for him leave a lot to be desired with their managerial skills. I'm just hoping our work pace will be slow so they have little to freak out over. I can always find something to do back in the archive room to hide out if things get ugly. I am actually hoping that I can just sit with some operators and learn stuff. I did one small project all by myself last Friday, so I know I can do it, I just need to learn the specific things that need to be done for each type of job.
I saw one of my old teachers last Friday. She stopped in to chat with one of my coworkers about some freelance work he had for her. I really miss a lot of my old teachers. I must find a way to keep in touch before I lose contact forever. They were just too neat of people to lose in my life forever, y'know?
I am going to attend the
Denver Media Group function on June 20th. There is going to be a presentation about Photoshop CS3 and since we just upgraded to the CS3 suite at work, it will be good to see if the presenter has any good information. I'm hoping the door prizes will be cool and I'll win one this time.
