Happy Independence Day!
I've got a little pet peeve about this holiday that has sprung up lately. People saying "Happy 4th of July!" Do we say "Happy 25th of December" for Christmas or any such nonsense? NO. I can't think of any other holiday where people do this. The holiday is Independence Day. Only be saying it will we remember exactly what it is we are celebrating. Otherwise, it loses meaning and becomes just another day off from work (for most people) and an excuse to BBQ.

You want to know what's really frustrating? Changing out the light bulbs in a string to find out the problem wasn't the bulbs, it was the wires. I just blew 50 perfectly good bulbs. (At least they were perfectly good bulbs.) *sigh* Oh, well.

OK, the pictures from our Annual Tree Hunting Trip are up in the gallery. Just ignore the pictures of Marcus and Mike playing Call of Duty in the snow. I'll post a picture of the decorated tree just as soon as I get around to decorating it.
