#8: I cry at the drop of a hat.
The smallest little thing will turn on the waterworks.
I cry at movies. I cry during commercials. I cry when I'm happy. I cry when I'm sad. I cry when I'm angry.
The crying when angry upsets me the most. I wish I could just yell or scream. No, I bawl.

#7: I collect shot glasses.
I like to have a small souvenir of places I've been or significant occassions in my life. (that damn pack-rat in me)
I used to collect t-shirts, but I'd end up wearing them and they would wear out. I tried coffee mugs...now that's a collection that can take up a huge amount of space real fast! I can't remember which shot glass was the one I got first, but I remember getting it because there were no decent mugs. I found it was way easier to bring them back (a pair of socks was enough to keep them from being damaged in transit). I'm not exactly sure when it started, but I was getting them before I met Marcus. I know, because I bought a shot glass when we went to the Cave of the Winds when his friend Brad was visiting a month before we started getting serious.
As my collection grew, my friends took notice and began bringing me back shot glasses as gifts from their travels. I have no idea how many I currently have because I hadn't unpacked the bulk of them when we moved here. We had no intention of staying long (it's been almost 4 years now, dammit!) and I didn't want to bother with repacking them.
I'm getting itchy to get out and go somewhere new. I haven't added a glass personally to my collection in over a year since Marcus' sister came and we went to Winter Park. Those were cool--they were also votive candles. *sigh*

#6: I'm a Colorado native.

I was born at St. Joseph's hospital in Denver, CO on 9/11/1966 and I've lived in the state ever since.
(Ha, never thought I'd use my blinkie again!)
I grew up in Aurora, went to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and have also lived in Denver, Colorado Springs, Deer Trail and Byers. I've been back in Aurora for almost 4 years and am looking forward to the day we can move away from this city for good. Aurora politics is another post for another day.
We're pretty sure that when we move, we'll still stay in this state, though. I'm hoping the housing market will crash and it will be affordable to live here like it once was.

#5: I'm a pack rat.
I have a hard time getting rid of things. I've still got paperwork from when I went to UNC in the mid-80s. I've got tons of craft supplies I
might use one day. I've got four large boxes of stuffed animals in storage that I can't bear (pun intended, lol) to part with. Magazines with craft patterns I intend to do one day.
I've really been trying to make an effort to get rid of stuff I don't want and probably won't ever use. Of course, I started this effort to clear my life of clutter
almost a year ago and still haven't even begun to make a dent, it seems. I feel a little guilty that at one point I spent hard-earned money on stuff that is now worthless. Seriously, with everything on DVD, nobody is going to want the first season of Star Trek:TNG on vhs. I also haven't watched them in over 10 years. They're always in reruns. Letting those go was hard. So is letting go of the tapes of heavy metal music videos my mother made for in the late 80s.
It's a trait I inherited from my mother. After she died, my dad and sister had to clear tons of worthless stuff that she had hung onto for no good reason. I was really thinking today as I looked at all the JUNK I have that I really don't want to leave a similar task to my loved ones after I go. Also, I don't want to move worthless junk yet again.

#4: I am the Queen of Procrastination®
I've been doing it my whole life and I don't know why. I feels good to get things done before they absolutely need to be, yet I don't. I can't even use the excuse that I'm too busy because I'm still doing it, even during this time of unemployment. I'm doing it right now by writing this post. For instance, I started working on a portfolio site for myself over two years ago back in school. I got the basic foundation laid in Flash, but never got any of my pieces ready. I started working on the html version while I was employed because I knew prospective employers, especially those in web, would want to see stuff. I worked on it again really hard on Thursday, but promised myself it would be finished over the weekend. Here it is Tuesday and it's still not done. It's really a trait I must work harder to overcome.
