Friday Five

April 4th Friday Five
1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
I've lived in 17 different places. Actually 16, but our current home has been in two different places. A lot of those were various dorms and houses I lived in during college.

2. Which was your favorite and why?
So far my house now is my favorite. It's the first place I've truly felt at home since I moved out of my parents' house. It's pretty snazzy for a mobile home. I've even got a jacuzzi tub in my master bath.

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
Stressful. I hate not being able to find my stuff and packing is a pain in the butt.

4. What's more important, location or price?
I wish I could say location, but price is always the major factor that determined where we have lived.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
I want a house with a walk-out basement and a huge yard (acreage) where I can garden. I also want a hot tub and/or pool. I also want a gas fireplace in the master bedroom and french doors that lead out to a balcony.

OOOOwwwwwwww!!

My whole face hurts right now. The dentist really had to struggle to get one tooth out and I'm feeling it today. I totally overslept this morning. My poor body really needed the rest, though. I still feel out of it. It's so weird.

I guess I missed absolutely nothing at school yesterday. It's good that I'm not behind, it's bad that nothing happened for five hours. I'm in such a funk right now that I really don't care about much of anything. This is so unlike me that it is sort of frightening. Even six months ago, I would've been really upset about missing school and work. I probably would've gone to work and been miserable. Today I'm like, "Eh, who cares?" Not good.

Well, my break is over. I'd better get back to class.

Tech Tv

I guess yesterday was Chris Pirillo's last day as host of Call for Help on TechTv. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about that. I used to spend every waking moment watching TechTv. I haven't watched it at all since I went back to delivering. When I'm home, there is always something lame on that channel now. It's not the helpful, informative channel that it used to be.

April Fool’s Revisisted

Since I've been home today and catching up on my blog reading, I was reminded of an event on Tuesday that I wanted to share:

When I got to class, a fellow student remarked that since it was April Fool's Day that we should all keep a sharp eye on our teacher, as he is the type that pulls pranks on an ordinary day. About an hour into class, he asks if everyone is ready for the midterm today. The rest of us remained silent, but one student (who had arrived late) said, "Sure." Well, the teacher came back with a stack of papers and began handing out the mid-term. You should've seen how wide the eyes of the kid who had spoken got. The questions on the exam were way out in left field. It ended up being one of those read all the questions, write your name at the top and turn it in type of prank tests. I swear every year I get a teacher that love to try and "trick" students. Anyhow, everyone but the poor kid who spoke got it and turned it in. He was sweating and looking around at everyone. He looked like he was going to have heart failure. When he got to the last question, he knew he had been had. Poor kid. That's what you get for not reading the directions!
