I saw this strip over at GoComics today. I laughed so hard I cried.

The 2007 Blogathon is quickly approaching. In a little over three days I'm going to be blogging every half hour for 24 hours straight to benefit Livestrong: The Lance Armstrong Foundation beginning at 7 am MDT. Please sponsor me! I'll be perfectly honest here about a couple of things.

First, I am not missing having the gazillion Dish stations at all. I thought I'd go through a little withdrawal or something, but I didn't. I'm amazed at how much time and energy I wasted on absolute garbage. There are many days now that I don't even turn on the television.

Second, Psych is becoming one of my favorite shows. When I first saw the preview for it last year, I thought it would be really dumb. A fake psychic detective. Um...yeah. I gave it a chance, though, because it was on the same night as Monk. I was pleasantly surprised. The show is hilarious. The chemistry between the two main characters, Shawn and Gus, is amazing. Yay that, unlike The 4400, their episodes are actually on iTunes.

This brings me to my next point — I need more iTunes gift certificates. I've just used up all the ones I've gotten as gifts or won and I need more to get my Psych episodes through iTunes. Gah, I have so much that needs to get done before Saturday for the Blogathon. It's really tempting to call in sick one day. Too bad I don't have any paid sick days yet, so I really can't afford it. At least next year I can take one if I need it. That stupid RSS thing threw a wrench in last night's plans. I hope I have it fixed now. I guess we'll see if I keep clogging up everybody's feeds, eh?

Don't forget that Friday is Sys Admin Appreciation Day! Show a little love to the guy or gal that keeps your computer network systems humming along. I'm really promoting this because I know that most people really take them for granted. People are quick to bitch when network problems arise, but not so quick to say thanks when all is well.

Friday is also Marcus' and my unofficial anniversary. It'll have been 15 years since we first kissed and became more than just good friends. Awwwww. Wow, 15 years...most marriages don't last that long. Aren't I lucky?

One final thing to share before I head off to work today. I was clearing off my computer's desktop and found these cute Simpsons characters I made of Marcus and myself over at the Simpsons Movie site (with a little Photoshop help from me). I meant to put this in the Kwik-E-Mart post, but totally forgot:

Thanks to a mention from Colleen in a comment, I am now aware that my RSS feed is messed up. I totally screwed up my prior RSS feed and thought going to a default template from the EE site would fix things for now. Apparently, though, if I edit a post for any reason, it shows up more than once in a reader. Great, now I've got to worry about this. Like I've got time to deal with it.

Edit: Also figured out my permalinks were wrong. Weeee. Testing to see if this fixes the problem.
