I am so sick of crap like
this:
ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Tag, you're out! Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.
I've had it with this nanny society. All these school system are doing is putting out kids that can't cope with the real world.

Man, I've had the biggest problem with making posts today. I don't know what the problem was. Several times I have had posts all typed up, only to do something totally stupid and *poof*. All gone. *sigh*
Since no new puzzle pieces have been released today, I've been spending time elsewhere on the old Internet. I found a new read on the PPP forums called
Brainstorming Diva. She linked a site that I hadn't been to in a long time:
FlyLady.net. There's a whole lot more content there now. The site is dedicated to helping women declutter and organize their lives. She asks if you are living in
CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome)? Sadly, yes I am. You'd have thunk with all the extra time I've had being unemployed that I'd be all over my housework. Nope. In fact, it's the complete opposite. I felt a little dread when I saw the Postie Patrol thing the other day. As much as I'd like them to come visit me, I don't want them seeing my house in its current state. Today was Anti-Procrastination Day on the site. While it's too late to do much today, I'm going to tackle stuff full throttle tomorrow. I'm tired of being the Queen of Procrastination. I signed up for her Yahoo group. Hopefully that extra reminder and tips will get my inspired to clean up my messes.
The Sims2 Pets expansion is out. I keep seeing commercials for it on the television. I don't have any of the Sims 2 expansions yet. I put them all on my Amazon wish list, so hopefully someone will get me one for Christmas. I haven't let myself play The Sims in ages, though. I feel stupid trying everything possible to make my Sim's life good when my own life in in such a mess, y'know?
Well, I guess that's it for now. I've got a Thursday Thirteen to compose.

I find that as I get older, my poor old joints pain me horribly when the weather gets cold. In fact, I can always tell when a front is coming through when that familiar ache in my left knee begins to start. Being overweight, having several stupid accidents when I was younger because I'm a klutz and a family history of arthritis...all contributing factors to my deteriorated joint health. You should hear my ankles and knees pop. *shudder*
When an old dog I used to have, an Alaskan Malamute, begain having trouble walking due to arthritis in her hips, I changed her diet to a food that contained
Glucosamine and Chondroitin. I was amazed at how little time (only a few weeks) her condition and ability to get around improved.
Ever since I saw the way those ingredients improved her life, I've been meaning to find a
joint pain supplement for myself. I found a product called
Synotrex that I'm interested in trying. In addition to Glucosamine and Chondroitin, the product as contains
several other natural ingredients designed to rebuild cartilege and reduce pain and swelling.
I know that once I begin taking a supplement such as this, combined with my continued weight loss, I'll save myself from a future of being crippled by irreparable joint damage.

Man, I'm a good cook, if I do say so myself. The chili came out excellent! It really hit the spot on this cold, blustery evening. I've been dragging out watching the Gilmore Girls all evening. I just don't have the enthusiasm about that show that I used to have. The show is really stupid this season and it makes me sad. I guess it's a good thing that this is supposed to be its last season. They better not pull the same crap they did with 7th Heaven, though. You don't have a series finale and then say, "Hey, we had more viewers than we thought. Maybe we should bring it back." I watched the last few episodes to see if any of those stupid, dysfunctional people actually straightened out and they didn't. I haven't watched a single episode this season.
Isn't it amazing how long permanent marker smell lasts? I used one several hours ago and the fumes are still making me woozy.

So, we're getting our first real snow of the season today here in Denver. Brrrrr. I stopped stalling and went to the grocery store to get chili fixins for dinner. Mmmmm-yummay! When I become among the employed, I'm going to start utilizing King Sooper's home delivery again. I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING WITH A PASSION! I always forget something I needed way over on the other side of the store, everybody is standing right in front of where I need to be, checkers with a line a mile long wanting to make small talk instead of ringing up my groceries...ugh! Marcus and I used to make a list of what meals we were going to have for the week, we'd add things to the shopping list as we thought of them and a couple of days before we needed them, we'd set up a delivery. The delivery driver brings all of the stuff in, it's bagged pretty well (none of this one item to a bag nonsense) and the shelves were stocked without having to deal with crowds of people. It cuts down on impulse spending, too. Those cookies can't call to you if you're not looking at them.
