OY, this is going to be a long-assed day. I had to take dad to the airport this morning. He's spending a couple of weeks out with my sister in California for the holidays. His flight leaves at 8:30 this morning, but as he wanted to make sure he got there in plenty of time, he wanted to be picked up at 5:30. The roads were clear and no waiting to get into the airport, so I dropped him off at a little after 6 am. Of course, I couldn't sleep last night. I couldn't go to sleep and then couldn't stay asleep. I hate how when you're afraid you're going to oversleep, you end up waking up every hour or so. I wish I had time to go back to sleep for an hour or so before I have to leave for work, but Marcus' alarm started going off at 7 and will go off every 10 minutes until he decides to roll out of bed. Oh, well. I almost wish that I would get to leave work early today...almost. I need money more than sleep at this point.
I had a bunch of stuff I was going to post, but now I can't remember. Too tired. I guess I'll keep a list at work and hopefully have something more interesting to say later.

OK, here's a shoutout for help to anybody reading this blog:
I need a really good Marcaroni and Cheese recipe.
I want something that's totally homemade, but nothing funky in it like jalapenos or anything. I want tips you have to make it come out right (mine never comes out creamy — it's always grainy). It has to be really cheesy.
Macaroni and cheese (when made right) is my most favorite food in the entire world. Please pass along any recipes or tips you use either in the comments or via email.
THANKS!!!!!!

I've been disappointed with my bubble lights for many years. The ones I had from my mother have slowly burned out or broke, so I finally bought some replacements about five years ago. They never bubbled, though. Kind of misses the point of being bubble lights. Anyway, I was googling how they work because I'm a nerd like that (and still don't know yet), but did find a tip for getting them to bubble. The site said to turn the bulbs upside down (while they're on) for 15 minutes or so and they would bubble again when uprighted. I didn't believe it, but gave it a try anyway and sure enough...it worked! Yay!!!!
Now, if someone would please explain what is in there that makes them bubble, I'll be good to go.

Last year (or more likely the year before that since I wasn't in a Christmas decorating mood at all last year), I realized I had two light bulb testers. I probably bought the 2nd one at an after Christmas 90% off sale at Hobby Lobby or something, not realizing I already had purchased one. Well, I needed to find one because part of the light string on the tree was out. Could I find either one? NO! I finally found one in a box of stuff that I had contemplated selling on eBay (like anybody would buy my extra Xmas light tester). You'd think I would have put it in with the spare light bubs. Nope. I'm sure it will turn up someplace totally stupid.

I sent a link to this site to Marcus, but wanted to make note of it here for myself to check more in-depth later on. I found a site today that has
archives of classic computer magazines. The only title I really remember seeing on store shelves is Compute Magazine, but I didn't become a hard-core computer user until after Marcus bought his iMac. Before that, I knew word processing and minimal graphics. Look at me now! W00t!
