1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
It was Barry Manilow "in the round" at the old McNichols Sports Arena in Denver. I think I was 16 or 17. I remember I drove to it because my Ford Pinto stationwagon got a flat in the parking lot.
2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?
I don't really have a favorite at the moment.
3. What's your favorite song?
Queens of the Stone Age's "No One Knows"--although even after reading the lyrics on their site, I still don't get what it's about.
4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
Piano. I took keyboarding classes in college, so I could play chords and pick out melodies and such, but I really can't play it. I also want to play guitar. After I get out of school, I will probably pursue that goal with earnest, since a guitar is waaaaay cheaper than a piano.
5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
This may be weird, but I'd love to meet Mozart. I would just like see what he was like in person.

My new favorite commercial (I first saw it last night) is for the Toys 'R' Us Easter sale. It starts out with a single white bunny singing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." Then more bunnies join in until Geoffrey the Giraffe pleads with one bunny that they'll have an Easter sale if he'll make the rest stop singing. There's one scene that looks kind of like a
portrait we took of our bunnies for Easter last year. It's cracking me up.
UPDATE: Here is a
link to the commercial. Thanks, Rob!!!!!
UPDATE 3/29/04: The link was for Easter 2003. It doesn't work this year, but if anyone does find the commercial, post a comment and let everyone know. Thanks!
UPDATE 3/31/04: A commenter provided
this link where you can see the commercial.
UPDATE 4/2/04: Due to popular demand, the creator of this commercial has put
the original link back up for everyone that wants to go see the bunnies.
UPDATE 4/10/04: For those of you who want this for your own, commenter Chris is offering the commercial for download from his site. The link is
http://www.toda.ws/bunnies.mpeg. Windows users right-click on the link and select "Save Target As...", Mac users either right-click or control-click on the link and select "Downlaod Linked File As..." Much as I would love to send an attached email to everybody that wants the commercial, between work and school, I just don't have the time. Sorry :(

My 20th high school reunion is being planned for next year (2004). I guess the only bad thing so far about having a website is that it was way too easy for them to find me this time. I keep getting emails from people on the committee wanting to hear from me. Yeah, if you guys cared about me, it wouldn't have taken 19 years for anybody to try and find me. What a crock. Can you tell that I probably won't go? Most of the people that I'm truly interested in finding out what happened to them were either not in my class, or don't want to be found by reunion committees either. I may submit my info to the "class website" that a couple of former classmates organized, but I'm not wasting good money to go meet with people I can barely remember. Now, if I could find some of my friends with whom I went to college, that would be another story...

A girl told me this at work the other day and I was just reminded by Marcus that I had wanted to post it here:
"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, one of the best basketball players is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, and Germany doesn't want to go to war."
Man, that's tooooo funny.
