I've been up since 5 a.m. (even though I went to bed at 11:45) because I have thumbnails for a restaurant logo due at 8 a.m. I need 20 and I've got about half done, but I have absolutely no motivation to do this today. It's dreary and rainy again today. I just want to crawl back into bed and call in to school, but this teacher actually teaches stuff and if I miss a day, I'll be waaaay behind.
Actually, I want to stay home and get my site figured out. I've got my templates all screwed up. I thought I understood which templates control what, but I guess I didn't. I was hoping that since my manager is being a dick and gave me a whopping 8 hours this week that I'd have time, but of course I have all sorts of homework this week. We also had to get all of our stuff out of the storage unit we had in Bennett by the end of April. We rented a U-Haul on Monday and got most of the stuff and then Marcus cleared the very last out last night. Monday was a total fiasco--the truck's door was broken, it hailed ALOT between Bennett and Watkins, we couldn't find a gas station near the U-Haul place that sold diesel and we ran out of gas, we didn't get a chance to eat dinner. Oh, well. It's over for now. We just have to do some major rearranging in the storage unit we have here. I need to get rid of a lot of stuff.
Enough, I've got to get back to the thumbnails.

I've been an eBay junkie lately. I've won two cross-stitch charts that I'm going to be working on after they arrive. The first is a chart titled "In Stitches" from
Calico Crossroads and the second is a
Dimensions charted titled "Sew Cozy." Yay me! There is one more auction today that I'm going to try to win. After that, enough crafts on eBay. I have plenty to keep me busy for a looooong time. I'm trying to make stuff to decorate my craft room, can you tell?

Man, have you guys seend the new iPod's that were introduced yesterday? Neat! I'm going to have to see some stuff on eBay and get me one of those. Apple also has a new
online music service. It sounds intriguing.

OK, so I'm working on my layout and things are going to be a little wonky for a bit, especially in the comments templates and such while I make a new layout. Please be patient with me!!! Hopefully I'll have them tweaked tomorrow.
Marcus and I went to dinner at
Uno's tonight and had sirloin tips. Mmmmm! Yummay! The manager even came over and gave us free dessert because he felt our dinner took way too long. Strawberry cheesecake. Double Yummay!!!
I've also gotten myself in deeper debt and purchased an
Apple G4. After the totally crappy week I had at work (I don't really feel like rehasing the ugly details), I figured I'd better get a machine and get serious about my new career. I'm so tired of working with really, really stupid people.
Well, I guess I better get to bed since it's after midnight. I really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

The following was sent to me by my friend, Nina:
On the first day God created the cow. God said, "You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixtyyears."
The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty years and I'll give back the other forty."
And God agreed.
On the second day, God created the dog. God said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said, "That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I'll give back the other ten."
So God agreed (sigh).
On the third day, God created the monkey. God said, "Entertain 20 people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
Monkey said! , "How boring, monkey tricks for twenty years? I don't think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that's what I'll do too, okay?"
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created man. God said, "Eat, sleep, play, have sex, enjoy. Do nothing, just enjoy. I'll give you twenty years."
Man said, "What? Only twenty years? No way, man. Tell you what, I'll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back, and the ten the dog gave back, and the ten the monkey gave back. That makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God. "You've got a deal."
So that is why for the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, have sex, enjoy, and do nothing. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family; For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain our grandchildren; and for the last ten years we sit in front of the house and bark at everybody.
Life has now been explained.
