I've got sooooo much to do today. I've got a couple of friends coming over after I get off work tonight to help me break in the fondue pot I got for my birthday and to usher in the new year. This is one year I am not going to miss one bit. I feel a little like I've stagnated this past year. I made less money, gained more weight, acquired more debt. *sigh*

Actor Earl Hindman, best known as Tim "The Toolman" Taylor's neighbor Wilson on "Home Improvement,"
died yesterday. How sad. I really loved that show and Wilson was the coolest.

I found
Typeflake the other day while surfing around the other day and it's been sitting in an open browser window ever since. I figured I'd better post it so I can shut my machine down. While it is not as cool as the
snowflake maker I posted about before, it's still kind of cool.
I've got my calendar so jacked right now. It was pretty stupid to have the templates open on two different computers and forget to refresh the screen when I moved between them. I'm giving up for the evening and maybe it will be easier to fix in the morning.
I actually got five driving shifts this next week at work. Whoa! Of course there will be no orders and those that order don't tip, but at least I'll get 15 hours on the clock.
Speaking of people who don't tip, yesterday I delivered to this house and a fairly young child came to the door. The total was $19.98 and she hands me a twenty. The girl is way too small to handle two extra-large pizzas and I feared she was going to drop them. I lost every ounce of caring that the pizzas were going to hit the floor when she uttered, "My mom says to keep the change." At that point, I was pissed. Two lousy, stinkin' cents! I hate cowards who stiff, don't have the kahunas to face the driver in the face of their cheapness, then make their poor children do it. LOSERS!!!!!
The ice cream was pretty good. I put a little too much vanilla in it, I think. It will just take a little (lot) of experimenting. LOL
The Scumbuster will also work pretty well as soon as I pick up some soap scum busting cleaner (like Scrubbing Bubbles).
It was kind of depressing today that the Broncos lost to the Green Bay Packers. I understand why Shanahan sat most of the starters out and I know the game had no effect on Denver getting into the playoffs, but I hope the loss doesn't cast a gloom over the first playoff game. I still hate to see my Broncos lose (especially 31-3). Then poor Ed McCaffrey got his bell rung pretty good. I hope he's OK.
OK, that's all the news for the moment. I must get to bed.

Well, I'm making my first batch of vanilla ice cream with my new
ice cream maker. I'm going to try coffee next if this batch works. Then I am going to scrub my shower with my new
Scumbuster after the battery charges. I just pulled a wad of my hair out of the drain the size of a hamster. Ewwww. Totally disgusting! Well, I'm going back to watching the Bronco/Packers game now.

Current mood:
tired
Well, Christmas is over for another year and I'm totally exhausted. Never, ever again and I going to wait until the last minute to shop and decorate. Next year I will NOT be in the poor financial situation I found myself this year. How insane is it that you have to hope for a Christmas bonus from your boss in order to buy any gifts at all? I fared pretty well in the gift department this year. I feel badly that I couldn't have been as generous with my friends. *sigh* Marcus' mother sent a very generous monetary gift this year that helped to begin repaying Marcus for getting my car fixed. Marcus got me a Debbie Mumm calendar, an ice cream maker and a scum buster (he knows how badly I hate scrubbing our shower). Mike and Nina got me The Lord of the Rings book (I've never read it) and a Blazing Saddles dvd. My friend Dave got me a Foxtrot book and The Who's Ultimate Collection cd. He also brought Red Stripe beer to our gathering for me to try. Hooray beer! (It was ok, not a great beer.)
I have a promising prospect for some part-time employment after the first of the year. I don't want to write much and jinx it. If that falls through, I'm sure the placement department at school will help me find something.
I'm not much for making or sticking to New Year's resolutions, but this year I am going to have to get my life more organized. I've let things get so out of control (especially recently) and I'm very tired of living this way. I have less than a year of school left and I don't want to be this out of control then. I haven't filed any bills since we moved here (they're in a huge box), my craft room is a disaster, my plants are dying, my car is a disaster area, I can't get into my bedroom closet, I still have pictures I haven't hung and boxes that haven't been unpacked. *sigh* Oh, well. I'd better get out of here and go to work.
