Stupd, Stupid, Stupid

Well, that was totally stupid. I'm trying to set up a recipe blog and I had Transmit (FTP program) open. Instead of opening a file to edit it, I accidentally copied it to my hard drive. I right click on it, select delete and hit enter to agree and then realize that I had clicked on the wrong file. Wouldn't have been disasterous if it had been any file other than my Mac's Library folder. You know that one...it contains your keychain, your cookies, your browser bookmarks, your saved emails, your iCal data, all your program preferences. Yeah, that one. I immediately hit the cancel button, but those things never seem to work. I forced Trasmit to quit, but it was too late...all the data was gone. I checked the trash and it was empty. I opened Transmit and it had nothing. Damn. I can recreate almost every thing I lost except the iCal stuff, some of my booksmarks and my emails. Damn it! That's one folder I never thought to back up. Guess I'll have to start doing that on at least a weekly basis, eh?

I wish Marcus was home. I could sure use a hug just about now.

Makes Me Wanna Dance

The New York stations I watch on Dish Network keep playing Six Flags commercials. Even though Marcus and I hate the whole Six Flags organization with a passion and have vowed to never give them another penny of our money (and it really sucks that they bought Elitches), I love that Mr. Six guy. I also really like the theme song they play. I kept meaning to find out if that was a real song or someting that Six Flags had composed, but never got around to it. Today I had my faithful Vaio laptop on when I saw the commercial and Googled "Six Flags Theme Song." It turns out to be a song called "We Like To Party!" by the Vengaboys. So, I checked iTunes and sure enough, they had it. Fortunately, I have a couple of iTunes Pepsi credits left, so I purchased it. It doesn't totally make the gloom go away, but it helped.

Gloomy Day

Ugh, it's cold and gloomy out. It has been for days. The last two days were foggy and snowy. I have to go scrape the car before I can go to work. It's still like 27°F outside. *sigh* It makes me all down when I can't see the sun. I want to go crawl back into bed, but that's what I did yesterday and I was totally unproductive. OK, got to get moving...

WYSIWYG Web Design

Are there any WYSIWYG web page editors out there that really work with CSS? I know Dreamweaver has some CSS capabilities, but when you use some attribute that it can't render, man does it screw it up! Kind of misses the point of using a web page editor, y'know? It's almost easier to just code it from scratch at that point.

Mm, Mm, Good!

I made my first batch of chili ever on Sunday. It was pretty darned good, if I do say so myself! Marcus liked the chili that Burger King used to make because they chopped up flame grilled burgers in it, so I grilled the burgers that I put in my chili. It was yummy. I love cooking. I wish I could do it more often. I'm going to have to get a bigger pot to make it in so that I can have lots of leftovers to freeze. I totally filled my crock pot and all the chili was gone by last night. Boooooo.
