Friday Five

Friday Five

1. Do you live in a house, an apartment or a condo?
A house. Actually, a four-bedroom, two bath double-wide mobile home. Yup, I'm white trailer trash.

2. Do you rent or own?
Marcus is technically the owner, so I guess I'm a renter since I pay half the payment.

3. Does anyone else live with you?
My boyfriend, Marcus, two dogs, five rabbits, a parakeet, a lovebird and some fish.

4. How many times have you moved in your life?
If you count all the times I moved in college, it's got to be well over 20. Since I left for college in 1984, the four years I have lived where I am now is the longest I have ever stayed put.

5. What are your plans for this weekend?
Sleep, work, housework.

Eight from the Eighties

Late as usual, I know:

Eight from the Eighties

1) Girls of the world ain't nothin' but...
Shallow, back-stabbing, two-faced, pains-in-the-butt. Ouch, did I type that? Sorry, even though I am technically a girl, I've never got along with them much and most of my good "girlfriends" are more of the tomboyish type. I'd rather hang out with a bunch of guys anyday.

2) Who's the meaning in your life, who's your inspiration?
It is my boyfriend, Marcus. Some days I don't think I'd be able to go on if he wasn't around. My friend Traci is also a great source of inspiration.

3) What do people like about you? (Bonus: Do you really know how to dance?)
I don't know, does anybody even like me? Just kidding, but you'd have to ask them.
Sorry, I don't dance. Not that I couldn't, I just never learned how. I used to try when I clubbed in the 80's. Of course, I was ususally extremely intoxicated.

4) Are you an innocent wo/man?
Nope, haven't been for a veeeeeery long time.

5) Is your house in the middle of your street?
No, actually, it's at the very end. Thank goodness we only have icky white trash neighbors on one side of the house.

6) Did you have Pac-Man fever?
I did. I think we had it on our old Atari game system. I really sucked at it, though. I know my mom kicked butt on it.

7) Do you always feel like, somebody's watching you? And you have no privacy? (Woah, oh, oh, oh.)
Yes, Yes I do (see yesterday's rant). I can hardly wait until the day Marcus and I have our acreage and I can truly have privacy.

8) Why do they call it the blues?
I know it's based on the jazz term, but I don't know where that name originated, either, and I'm too lazy to look it up. I wish there was a different term because I actually like the color blue. It's a serene and peaceful color. They really should call it the grays or olive greens or something yucky like that.

Friday Five

1. How often do you do laundry?
Only when absolutely necessary. It's usually when I'm out of something, like underwear or socks. Marcus is ususally more inclined to do laundry more often. He ususally does it about once a week. How cool is that?

2. What's in a typical wash load?
We separate everything. There is usually do a load of lights, a load of darks and a load of towels.

3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent?
I've got a Sears Kenmore top loading washer and use Gain powder with bleach (Marcus' detergent preference).

4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle?
Nope. We do use unscented Bounce dryer sheets. I'm allergic to anything scented.

5. Dryer or clothesline?
We have a matching Sears Kenmore dryer. I hate drying clothes on a line. Too much work.

Eight from the Eighties

Eight from the Eighties

1) What's in your room?
Way too much STUFF! Computers, books, nine pets, lots of craft stuff, wolf collection, teddy bear collection, Star Trek memorabilia, South Park stuff, and that doesn't include Marcus' things.

2) Do you have fame?
No, and I don't want any. Fame brings way more pressure than I'm willing to live with.

3) Are you on a road to nowhere?
Some days it feels like it. Maybe I'm on a long detour.

4) Ooh, are you a little runaway?
No, but there are days I wish I could be.

5) Have you ever felt the earth move, under your feet?
Can't say that I have.

6) I've been waiting, for a...
Winning lottery ticket. I still don't have one.

7) If you love somebody...
Tell them and, if they'll let you, show them. Often.

8) Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.
Do I have to? I'm really bad at it.

Friday Five

1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having?
I had this a few nights ago: I was trying to get back into school at UNC (Northern Colorado) as I had one more semester to go, but I couldn't find a place to live and the bassoon professor wouldn't let me sign up to take lessons.

2. Do you have any recurring dreams?
I used to. There was one where cars were trying to go on a hot wheels type of loop and couldn't get enough speed to make the loop and were crashing below. Creepy.

3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had?
I honestly can't remember any, although I know I've had some. I must block them or something. I remember a few months ago waking up really scared and sweaty and I was afraid to go back to sleep. I told Marcus about the dream when he woke up, but now neither of us can remember what it was about.

4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not?
No on both counts. I don't really see the point.

5. Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it?
I don't remember ever having one of those.
