Do you want to know why I don't do web design for a living even though I studied it? IE. Yep, that stupid web browser...the spawn of the browser world let forth upon this earth by those jerks over at Microsoft. It is its own monster. I hate making a perfect good layout that looks absolutely lovely in every browser known to man EXCEPT Internet Explorer. I then hate wasting hours upon hours trying to figure out why things won't line up by one pixel. Grrrrr.

I'm surfing on my laptop while I'm posing on my Mac. I keep trying to mouse over to the laptop screen like I can on my 2nd Mac monitor. LOL

I was rebooting my computer today because it was acting a little funny and I noticed something funky about my monitor. It appears there is some sort of burn in or something along the top. It's not because I don't use a screensaver, either. Damn it! Luckily Marcus purchased a two year warranty for the thing, so I hope they'll either fix or replace it. It's not really in the way of anything as it's at the top where the menu bar is, but still...it's a freaking expensive Apple display. *sigh*
Edit: OK, after some research, we're wondering if it is caused by the magnetic iSight stand I have on top of my monitor. We'll see if not using that stand near the monitor for a bit fixes things.

OK, I understand people paying large sums of money to get something that is sold out of a store right before Christmas. But paying inflated prices on eBay for an iPhone when there is plenty in stock still and you can order them for retail directly from Apple's web site? That I don't get. People are dumb.

So Marcus and I spent a good part of this weekend ripping some of our DVD collection to our iTunes Server (with a handy little program called
Handbrake so we can view them on our AppleTV. What sucks about the iTunes information palette is it is geared towards songs/music. What to do if you want to add metadata to the movie files so that you can see the rating, synopsis, director, actors, etc? You go download a cool little app called
MetaX that I found through the
Handbrake forums. It can grab the data from Amazon for you and then embed it into the movie file or you can enter in all that info yourself, if you're so inclined. It's pretty darned cool!
