Still Exhausted

The time change this year, paired with Marcus and Mr. T being up at Homestead North this week without me is kicking my ass! I am weary to the core. I have a whole list of things I want to accomplish this week and I have yet to cross one thing off. Hopefully, in the morning, I'll have the energy to make a significant post.

Just a Quick Post

Just a quick post today to say that I don't feel well (never do when the time changes). I'm depressed over work crap and I'm exhausted, so I'm going to take care of myself and go to bed. I'll post my Project365 pic tomorrow, as well.

Project 365 #1 - New Journal & NaBloPoMo 2015

Almost forgot about NaBloPoMo - I can't believe we're in November of 2015 already. Seems like just a few days ago I was struggling to get all the posts in for the last go-round. Well, Project 365 was a bust yet again. I'm going to begin once again and see how far I get.

I wish I could say things are different from last year, but sadly, they are not. I decided on the drive up to South Dakota yesterday morning that things are going to change by next year's NaBloPoMo. I'm stuck in a rut of my own making. I bought myself this journal at BAM in Rapid City - i used to journal everyday. Physical writing is good for the creative soul - time to start up again.

I'll try to blog better the rest of the month. I had to come back to Denver today and Daylight Saving Time ended, as well. I'm tired and will have a rough night sleeping alone as Marcus and T will be at Homestead North the whole next week.

Project 365 #29 - T’s Tryptophan Coma

Marcus put some leftover turkey and mashed potatoes in Mr. T's food this evening. I think he's in a Tryptophan coma - he's been like this for quite a while. He's also groaning and belching. I think the poor guy ate too much too fast.

Project 365 #28 - Spiced Tuaca Cider

I honestly can't remember when I first had Tuaca cider, but I do remember making it a few years ago when I had my knitting group over to my house.

Last year, I found these organic mulling spice bags at Whole Foods and now I can make myself a cup whenever I want - like tonight - because work sucks much ass and I really need a drink. smile

I saw a recipe from them in my Facebook feed called Hot Apple Pie (you have to be 18 to click through the link), which is basically the same thing except you put a cinnamon stick and whipped cream on it. I'll have to try that one day when I have whipped cream around.

Project 365 #27 - Thanksgiving 2014

We weren't going to cook a Thanksgiving dinner this year since we weren't going up to Homestead North. First we were going to go out to eat, but we forgot to make reservations. Next, we were going to get a pre-cooked dinner from Whole Foods, but I couldn't get Marcus to make a decision about which one to get until the day after they stopped taking orders. I ended up cooking a dinner, anyway, which was a bit of a pain as all of my stuff is up in South Dakota and the kitchen in the condo is tiny. I think I managed pretty well. The only things I couldn't make were the cheesecake and my shrimp stuffing. I broke down and bought a pre-made pumpkin pie, too.

BONUS: Since I love this picture so, here's last year's Thanksgiving picture taken at Homestead North:

Project 365 #26 - Beer Cooking Mag

I was at Whole Foods again today before I went into work (I find I've been doing that to procrastinate going in - I really hate going to work these days), and I saw this magazine.

I must remember to pick this up after the holidays. I really missing cooking and the few recipes I've tried using beer in them have turned out pretty good. This magazine intrigues me.

Project 365 #25 - KBCO Studio C #26

Ever since Ultimate Electronics went out of business, I wondered who distributed the annual KBCO CD. Since I'm not a regular KBCO listener, I'm not in the loop. Today, while grabbing some food for the day on my way to work, I got my answer: Whole Foods.

I personally have never cared about this, but I know people who do.
