So, a jerk that cut me off on the highway today and making me miss my exit prompted me to head up to Borders to take a look at the Snape figure that Nina had showed me online the other day. Yep, in the festive mood I was in due to the customer compliment, I decided to treat myself and get one. I wish Borders was closer to me because I'd like to go to their "Grand Hallows Ball" they're having for the release party. I also wished I had a costume to wear. The only close bookstore to me is Barnes and Noble and the event they had for the last book release sucked major donkey butt. The Tattered Cover is even farther away now than it was then, so I won't be going to that one, either.
Part of me is wishing I hadn't ordered the book online now. I would get it at midnight and start reading it right away. Oh, well. I can wait a few hours and get a little sleep first, I guess. Dang it, why can't it be Friday right now?
Marcus was teasing me saying he already knew how the book ends because he read it online.
Here's my new Severus Snape figure:

I was floating on cloud 9 for a little bit at work today. A couple of week ago, I was asked to design a cover for a client's catalog. Here is the email the CSR sent my supervisor today (yes, she apparently has a punctuation problem):
Hi -
I have a Huge Compliment for LaDonna in pre-press - every year myself along with The lucky pre-press person get to design the cover of this catalog. The customer gives us a picture and tells us to go for it - Well, LaDonna did a great job The customer is extremely happy and says this is the best cover ever Please let her know how happy the customer is and thankful to her for her expert design work
Thanks,
XXXXX
One of my co-workers said such emails go into our files at work. I have some ammunition to ask for more money come raise time.
