Domestic Geek

Now I've heard everything. Bank of America is offering credit cards to illegals. Oooo, but they have to pay a higher interest rate. Yeah. that makes it right. Are these people high? What is the point of citizenship anymore? I'm so pissed about this kind of crap that my head is going to explode.

I'm supposed to be to work at 7 am every Monday through Friday. I knew I was going to have to leave early this morning because of the freezing drizzle we had last night. Well....imagine my dismay when Marcus woke me up at 6:45 this morning. Yep, I was going to be late for work. I don't know if I forgot to set the alarm and or if I turned it off in my sleep (like I sometimes do). The good news is I slept soundly for the first time in weeks. The bad news is traffic is worse at that time of day than when I usually leave. That so sucked. Good thing we're a little slow at work and my boss wasn't really upset that I was late. It sucked to lose that hour of pay on top of the day I was out sick.

When we lived in Colorado Springs, the owner of the pizza place we had worked at gave Marcus his fish because he couldn't keep them anymore. The were two huge Oscars (part of the cichlid family) that Marcus named Bob and Steve (after two local radio personalities). Marcus had wanted Oscars because he liked how they eat goldfish (he had a strong hatred of goldfish, I think). We ended up getting another couple of Oscars that someone had given to a pet store and they were letting them go cheap. It was cool watching those big fish swim around. One was albino and the tank lights made it look so pretty. What is great about Oscars is that have very distinct personalities. I couldn't handle watching during feeding time, though, so I always left the room until the goldfish were safely in the Oscar's bellies. When those eventually died, Marcus purchased some African Cichlids. They're significantly smaller than Oscars, so we got several. One of them was really aggressive and ended up killing the rest. It was so sad.
