Darned Ted and his gang over at PayPerPost! I wake up a little later than ususal enjoying the sleep in my new bed, and I almost miss the new puzzle pieces. This makes the 15th piece, now I need to go look for the rest that were released in this batch. Oh well, that will actually be kind of fun. Even though the curiosity is killing me, I love puzzles!
Here's the announcement of the opportunity:
Post the attached image on your site. This is a puzzle piece for a contest that will be announced tomorrow. The first person to reassemble all the pieces and post it on their blog will get paid a $1000 opportunity fee. This puzzle contains information relating to our big PayPerPost announcement next week.
I really am hoping that the "payperpostbignews" has lots of new additional
ways to make money.
Edit: Ooops, it's really piece #28, I just can't type. Since I've already submitted this for approval, just ignore the title...sorry!

Sorry, the new pink layout for Breast Cancer Awaresness month is going to be a little late. I think you'll like it, though, I do. I'm going to take the time to really fix my EE code. It's so jacked up. All I did was take an existing template and screw with it here and there and it's a mess. There's unnecessary css, old straggling bits of code, etc. I want to be able to skin this thing, so I'd better just get it fixed now.
OK, I'm tired and I'm off to try out the new bed. G'night!

Well, we went to Denver Mattress and got ourselves a new mattress. We were toying with the idea of getting a Select Comfort bed, but after reading lots of bad reviews on epinions.com, we decided that they're just too much money to spend on something that might suck. I hope this one works out. We went there because Marcus had a Furniture Row credit card. Turns out they've changed banks since he last used it and he had to end up reapplying for a new card anyway. Would've been nice if the company had sent him a letter or something telling him the account was no longer valid.
Denver Mattress had a waterbed insert in stock from their Doctor's Choice series so we wouldn't have to get a frame. I'm in the process of putting the protectant on it, then we'll see if our sheets fit. I'm a little concerned that they won't. I really didn't want to have to get new sheets, too. *sigh*
Marcus also got us a couple of new pillows. Yay for new pillows.

I noticed a few weeks ago, during the period that I had no glasses to wear, that I had terrible bags under my eyes and that I was getting (*gasp*) wrinkles at the corners of my eyes. Well, I'm 40 now. Did I really think I would escape wrinkles forever? Except for washing my face in the shower, I don't really have a facial regimen. Once in a great while I'll put a moisturizer around my eyes or do a facial scrub, but that's about it. I've also been having horrible breakouts along my jawline and around my hairline for the past few months. I've been attributing them to stress, but it turns out they may be related to something I can easily fix.

In her new book, "Six Weeks to Sensational Skin: Dr. Loretta's Beauty Camp for your Freshest Face," author Dr. Loretta Ciraldo gives low-cost tips to get better skin, no matter your age. She was recently a guest on "Good Morning America," where she shared some of the tips from her book.
Click here for the article from ABC.com. There is also a video of her "Good Morning America" appearance. My hair problem? As simple as changing my shampoo. I started buying cheaper shampoos when I lost my job and it turns out the fragrance and sodium lauryl sulfate are most likely causing the clogged pores.
For my baggy, puffy eyes, the author offers this tip:
Make sure your pillow case is at least 400 thread count, and clean it with an detergent that gets rid of dust mites and other bacteria on your pillow. A pillow is like an 8-hour facial-- make sure you have the right one!
Makes sense, doesn't it?
I'm really interested in what other tips this book may provide.

I've got a lot I need to accomplish today.
When Marcus gets back from biking with Mike, we're heading over to Denver Mattress to see if there is anything there that can replace our crappy waterbed insert. I'm never owning a bed that requires water in it ever again! We also need to head over to get the last of our junk out of storage.

My blog is Going
Pink for October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month, if I can get the darned template I'm working on finished. Hopefully I can concentrate on that this evening after dinner while the guys game. Hopefully my
Veronica Mars season 1 discs come in the mail today and I can watch those while I code. I had to send the
Firefly discs back. I just couldn't get into them. Maybe at a different point in my life I'll be in a mindset where I can try again.
I have to finish styling my expaning link list menus to save room in the sidebara nd hopefully speed up the site's load time.
I want to be the first to find all the PPP puzzle pieces. There's a $1000 prize at stake for the first one to assemble the pieces and post it on their blog. We all know how much I really need money right now!
Oh, crap...I have to go put Marcus' checks in the bank. Gotta go!

What can be more exciting than
get paid to blog?
Well, we'll find out in the next week. The PayPerPost guys are at it again. They're letting the news out one square at a time. This one is puzzle piece #49. I'll have to scour the other posties sites and see if I can find the other pieces. I can't wait to see what the "payperpostbignews" is!
