Eight from the Eighties

Late as usual, I know:

Eight from the Eighties

1) Girls of the world ain't nothin' but...
Shallow, back-stabbing, two-faced, pains-in-the-butt. Ouch, did I type that? Sorry, even though I am technically a girl, I've never got along with them much and most of my good "girlfriends" are more of the tomboyish type. I'd rather hang out with a bunch of guys anyday.

2) Who's the meaning in your life, who's your inspiration?
It is my boyfriend, Marcus. Some days I don't think I'd be able to go on if he wasn't around. My friend Traci is also a great source of inspiration.

3) What do people like about you? (Bonus: Do you really know how to dance?)
I don't know, does anybody even like me? Just kidding, but you'd have to ask them.
Sorry, I don't dance. Not that I couldn't, I just never learned how. I used to try when I clubbed in the 80's. Of course, I was ususally extremely intoxicated.

4) Are you an innocent wo/man?
Nope, haven't been for a veeeeeery long time.

5) Is your house in the middle of your street?
No, actually, it's at the very end. Thank goodness we only have icky white trash neighbors on one side of the house.

6) Did you have Pac-Man fever?
I did. I think we had it on our old Atari game system. I really sucked at it, though. I know my mom kicked butt on it.

7) Do you always feel like, somebody's watching you? And you have no privacy? (Woah, oh, oh, oh.)
Yes, Yes I do (see yesterday's rant). I can hardly wait until the day Marcus and I have our acreage and I can truly have privacy.

8) Why do they call it the blues?
I know it's based on the jazz term, but I don't know where that name originated, either, and I'm too lazy to look it up. I wish there was a different term because I actually like the color blue. It's a serene and peaceful color. They really should call it the grays or olive greens or something yucky like that.

First Day

Current mood: Thirsty Bear thirsty
I'm soooo thirsty. It's taking forever for my iced tea pot to brew the tea. Waaaaaa!

Well, the first day went well, except for the car not starting this morning at all. Marcus let me take his truck to school and he managed to get mine started by hitting the starter with a hammer so he could get to work. He just called and told me he's going to pick up a starter and put it in this evening. Can anybody lend me $100? I hate being this cash poor.

Man, you should see all the crap they sent me home with today. I stopped by Dad's to borrow a luggage carrier so I can cart it all around.

Can you believe the Hayman fire, the largest fire in Colorado history at 100,000+ acres, was started by an employee of the National Forest Service!? I'm not sure if I'm buying her story about the burning of a letter from her estranged husband as the cause of the fire. Even if this is true, the dumb-assed bitch should've known better. I hope she's proud of herself. I personally have been affected from the smoke and stuff and I'm pissed as hell at her. I can only imagine how the people who have lost or been displaced from their homes are feeling towards her right now.
