We’re Having A Fall

I know, I know. I haven't gone to bed yet. 4 a.m. is going to suck ass.

I was noticing today what a beautiful fall we're having for once. Usually, around here, we have a couple of hard freezes, the leaves turn dull, yucky, dead colors and hit the ground all at once. Fall is usually so short it's hardly noticeable. It's warm one day, cold the next. This year, there are amazing colors all over the place. The leaves are falling a little here, a little there. It's been really neat. Today I was sitting at a traffic light at 104th and Sheridan looking off to the Northwest. A breeze had blown all the brown cloud away from in front of the mountains and they were so clear and beautiful. Longs Peak in the distance had snow on it. In front of that was all the beautiful fall foliage. It was a breathtaking sight. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me.

Virtual Bubble Wrap

Current mood: amused
I changed to these devil mood icons for the rest of October. They fit the theme a little better. Cool, huh?

I just read the funniest joke at The Breathing Room. ROFLMAO Also, check out the virtual bubble wrap as found through Pithy Place. Ha, I loved this. I'm one of those people who has to pop all the bubbles on that stuff before I throw it out.

Now I know the owner of the stores is a dork. He leaves a note today for one of the managers that there will be a 200 pie order on Tuesday to be split between the two stores. Does he bother putting the size (12, 14, or 16 inch) so I know which one to up the amount on? NOOOO! Of course, I find out about this after I had already left the other store. Dough is supposed to be made four days in advance to give it time to rise properly. I get to make up the extra there tomorrow IF they find me some more flour. The manager at that store didn't order enough. I was already going to be three batches short as it was and there is no extra flour at the other store. The manager was like, "Well, I'll try to find some. We'll probably be all right if I can't." Oh, they joy of it all. All I've got to say is, if they don't get me more flour, somebody better be making some dough on Monday (my day off) or pizzas about Wednesday are going to start tasting like crap. Once upon a time, I would've come in on my day off in a situation like this. Man, I'm glad I wised up.

Well, off to bed. Gotta get up at 4 a.m. to make the dough. Yippee.
